Look at everything in the world as if you are seeing it for the first time, and paint everything as if you were seeing it for the last. Invite wonder in and let your imagination soar. Consisting of five larger then life handmade paper planes, projection mapped with the moving sky, “Super Fly” is an homage to that beautiful space where childhood memories and innovation collide.
A temporary installation we built to light up the dark winter night in downtown Seattle. In December 2021 Lusio Lights Festival invited me to showcase my glass paper planes on 1st and Virginia, but after seeing the magic of this incredible space, I pulled one of the crazier redesigns of my career and scaled the planes up by 800%, hand building them in 3 days for a more “fly” experience. Lighting up the night with temporary experiences in magical spaces for you, never loosing one’s childhood sense of wonder, and living a poetic life, this is the stuffs worth living for.
